Default Recommend me a Scotch

Recommend me a good Scotch. Looking for both a low (sub-$50) and a high-priced Scotch.

What's your Scotch?!?

Any Macallan, but especially the 25 or 30 year old fine oak, Ardbeg 10 year, Ardbeg Uigeadail, Aberlour 15 or 10 year, any Glenlivet, Glenmorangie 18, Laphroaig 10 or 15, Caol Ila. Ok that will get you started

Balvenie is good. It's pretty rich and has a sharp first attack.

We haven't had a scotch thread in a while. last time I was recommended Lagavulin ($80-90), and it's now my favorite scotch.

I was just reading on Bevmo how the 18 year Chivas Regal is on the top list, and I've never tried it. I've stayed away from blended scotch lately, but I want to try it next. Any one tried it and care to comment?

Depends on what what type of scotch you like, sweet, smoky, balanced. Glenlivet 12 and 15 are great balanced scotch's. 18 is superb. All single malt and reasonably priced.
