The redneck had a Harvard degree (PG-13)
The national poetry contest had come down to two contestants-- one a Yale graduate-- the other a Texas redneck. They were given
a word, then allowed two minutes to come up with a poem that contained the word.
The word they were given was --- "Timbuktu".
First to recite was the Yale graduate. He stepped to the microphone and said:
Slowly across the desert sand
trekked a lonely caravan
men on camels, two by two
destination - Timbuktu.
The audience was impressed and gave well deserved applause. They thought there was no way the redneck Texan could top that.
But the redneck calmly made his way to the microphone and recited:
Me and Tim a huntin' went
met three whores in a pop up tent
they was three, and we was two
so I bucked one, and Timbuktu.
The redneck Texan won.

What you are calling a Texas "redneck" is really a "kicker" as in cowboy type that is kicking cow $$$$ and riding horses.
In the state for 45 years, out of the state for 5 (to get ejukaded). From within the state - kicker. From outside the state - redneck.
