I should think that women would prefer being called chicks to being called things.

PS Great idea, this decency thing. Too bad some people can't come to this conclusion on their own (before they've stuck their foot in it).

For clarification purposes, I was NOT grouping "women" with "things" ... notice how I didn't say, "we should respect things like women".

I was saying we should respect women, as well as other things like personal opinions, tastes, etc. Besides, we are all things, men, women, children, S2000's aren't we?

Let's be somewhat decent.

For clarification purposes, I was kidding.

I must say that I have to agree with Greg. Recently, I for one have noticed an increase in threads pertaining to women, sexuality, yada yada yada. Not that I have a problem with such subjects, I just feel that we are beginning to lack an air of professionalism which struck me the very first day I visited this site. In addition, subject matter/inappropriate avatars/signatures make visiting this site from work or another public place often difficult or embarrasing. I have to admit closing s2ki.com or hiding it on occasion, so as to not being caught looking at pictures of semi naked women in member's signatures. Not a good thing, or for that matter a good way to promote our community.
All in all, this is a great, informative, and for the most part, professional gathering of S2000 owners and enthusiasts a like.
I would be disheartened to see it any other way.
Again...just my 02c

Excellent post Greg. There are many boards on the net devoted to women in various stages of undress. This doesn't need to be one of them.

My take on this is that they should be allowed to keep the "Great Chicks" thread, or whatever it is called, going. It is quite clear what the content of that thread is and the people visiting it regularly obviously like it.

I would agree whole heartedly though that people should stop putting inappropriate pics in other threads, and also that the number of "great chick" threads should be kept to just one or two.

I also think that the pics in sigs can be annoying. I like to have peoples sigs turned on as it says something about them, but the number with loads of pics in is getting annoying.

just my 2 yens worth

I hereby offer the following pic for anyone to use in their sig. Wear it as a badge of honor and use it where appropriate. Let the flames begin. It's getting bloody cold here.
