I hope your just being sarcastic, but just in case your not. Rice is not a tuned car, it is a car with things that have no real perfomance value and are almost always ugly. Five foot wings on a front wheel drive, an ehaust tha can be heard 2 miles away at idle, and basicly any thing that changes a cars looks someone some where will not like and most likely call rice. Some people say if it is not jdm it is rice. I hope this helps.

It's meant as an insult I believe, but it mainly refers to the useless modding of one's car just to stand out. Please reference the photos found here:

I have to agree with kyo. Spoiler that are 10 time the size of the car, exhaust that sound like a bike or more like a mopead and body kits that were not meant for the car but were slapped on any ways. It's an insult Rice = bad, race = good

It is quite simply a derogatory term, or slang, used as described above: to criticize various aftermarket modifications done to import (non-US made) cars. It derives from the fact that most, if not all, of the Asian countries use rice as a main part of their diet.

Dixon, you are mistaken! When I see you drive by, I say, "hey, that looks like Dixon".

It means that the white Americans just like to make up terms to racially offend other ethnicities. It's been like that since the start of their existence. I hope I'm not offending anyone, but then again, I'm not making up terms to do so.
