Red face RICE: MISUSED

This may be car related but it has potential to go downhill real quick so here it is in the OT section.

Background/Purpose
The term RICE has been so cliched and derogatory that now it's being applied in the wrong ways both by the import crowd and domestic crowd. The term has blinded the mentality of so many younger car enthusiasts in that they no longer appreciate the performance, style and origin of a well designed car. I hope this thread can clear up some of the cliches and misunderstanding that has resulted from the misuse of the term.

Rules:
Post up to 3 brief instances in which you think the term is misused.
You must include the term RICE.
Be mature but funny is OK with the purpose of the thread in mind.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1 Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's RICE.
#2 Removing parts to make a car look "clean" can be just as RICE as adding parts to make a car look "fast"
#3 Just because they don't have much spare money to afford a better car or better parts doesn't mean it's RICE.

No matter what you say, all japanese cars clean or not are going to be considered as rice burners. Especially in the south and in the midwest. Its nearly racist if you think about it.

Some of you need to realize that the majority of Americans hate japanese cars. Not only because they usualy have low displacement engines, but because they come from japan.

I guess I'll take back my K&N air filter and order it from a more reputable JDM company for 2x the price.

I have never used "rice" to describe cars, because it's racist in my mind. To me, only prejudicial white people use that term. Rice is an agricultural food that Asians eat, not a derogatory term to describe cars. Then again, I don't expect any better (knowing the history of Americans).

No, that's not racist; it's just stating the obvious that prejudicial white people have created and used that term. It's a fact. It started out with motorcycles, then moved to cars. Simply a fact!
