RIP Ryan Dunn.

People say "he posted pics of him drinking with friends a few hours before the crash, so he was obviously drunk" ...I don't know about y'all, but back when I had facebook I posted pics DAYS after the pics were taken, how do you know he was drinking right then?

Also, I don't drink, so I'm not an expert on the subject, but I'm pretty sure someone could have a drink or two at 5:00 and be driving just fine 4 hours later at 9:00... or am I wrong?

The police are also saying that they don't know whether Ryan was the one driving or not.

If he was driving, and he was drunk, well... That sucks too, but if given the choice of him dying vs him crashing into a soccer mom and her little kids, killing them, I'd pick him.

I'm guessing those pix were thrown up there with the *Sent from Device/App footer tipping them off he was mobile when they were posted.

Sad stuff, though, for both the loss of life and machine. =(

Indeed. You don't really push a car to it's limits that much on a public road if alcohol wasn't a factor. If you were sober you would have had a better understanding of your surroundings and probably would have avoided what happened (whatever did happen). Maybe he was swerving and tried to miss an oncoming car and over corrected, who knows.

Regardless if he was drunk or not, his stupidity cost someone elses life. I cant believe ppl feel sorry for this guy. now his family and the family of his passenger have to suffer for his stupidity. What if it had been one of your family members in that passenger seat? he also left his wife and kids behind. oh yeah, sounds like a great guy. People make mistakes, sure, but now others have to pay for them.

The passenger was also responsible for getting in a car with an alleged drunk person. Yeah it's sad on both parts because two lives were lost, but Ryan Dunn didn't have a gun to the guys head telling him to ride with him.
