Haha.... Yeah... No more XP support and it'll still be better than Vista with service packs and support. Vista really is almost as bad as ME. I know two guys who had ME back when I still ran 98SE and I remembered thinking ME was the most useless Windows ever.

I really tried with Vista too. Hell, I even gave Xp 64. haha. If it was even halfway decent, I wouldn't have wiped my laptop the first day I got it and gone searching for XP drivers.

I sure hope that Windows 7 will be a lot better than XP or Vista.

As people have said, consider it todays windows ME; if you understand that then you'll know why it sucks so bad

xp will not die out they just wont sell them on the market but you can "downgrade" to xp from vista. I agree vista is a few cans short of a six pack and all but you got to think about all the new os systems that came out and what they thought about that. Now give or take yes ME blows and server 2k did have alot of open ports and stuff from default. I say give it a while before it turns into a ME, dont get me wrong I like XP but im a MAC person and since my degree is dealing with microsoft i have to learn it. its just bill gates douche bag of a way to force people to buy vista since no one wants it so he can generate more money he dont need just throwing my two cents out there.

windows gets on my nerves. the one thing i have always hated is how freaking long it takes to boot the computer up. my computer is 3 years old, I just can't turn it on and go to the internet, I have to wait for a million programs to quit doing their thing and so on and so fourth... mac people... do macs have that problem? they seem a lot simpler and i'm considering one.

Macs boot in a set time no matter how old they are, unlike Windows, where startups get longer and longer and longer....

Macs also wake instantly from sleep - another win in my book.
