Default Rob Robinette's tube guitar amp site

Excellent site, just like his S2000 one. Clear step-by-step explanations. Many good photos and diagrams. For you tube-a-holic guitar amp folks:

Wow! Some serious extensive reading there. I suppose would come in handy if I ever decided to build my own amp lol. I have always preferred tube, but a lot of my opinion was shaped back from the 80's90's when there was no such thing as a good modeling amp and solid state distortion and clean tones left much to be desired, its changed quite a bit these days. I have an all tube rack mount rig I invested in back in the mid nineties. ADA MP2 pre amp /Marshall 9100 dual mono block power amp with all the trimmings in between. Ive got a newer solid state 2x12 spider amp for lugging around though.

Man what a great primer on tube amps. You look at something like this and say to yourself man this guy needs to get a life, but it is Rob! I do not know of person with a more full richer life than Rob. Hats off to you Rob, I really do not how you do it!

He has a GREAT bit on really vintage one tone pot amps. I've been restoring these things for years. His is one of the best fix-it sites.
