Arrow Rogaine anyone?!

I'm just wondering if any of you have had personal experience/use with Rogaine. Is it effective, useless, or does it even result in more hair loss? My hair is getting a little thin and I'm thinking of using it. As always, I could do a search on the net, but I'd rather hear from you guys' personal experience. TIA!

put it this way: karl malone was the spokesperson and user of rogaine when rogaine first hit the market. his hairline now has receded all the way to the back of his head. even though he shaves his head, every so often, you can still see that he has lost tremendous hair. of course i'm sure karl malone has stopped using rogaine a long time ago, but if the product actually worked, don't you think he, as well, as numerous other celebrities would be using it and sporting a full set of hair??

also, if you want to learn more about hair loss and what you can do to "control" it, here's a good source:

I tried it for about 6 months because my hair was starting to thin a little too. I really didn't notice a difference. I wasn't losing any hair, but I wasn't growing back any either.

I believe that in most cases rogaine only helps you keep your hair not gain more.

look into other ways, but it depends, are you also graying, because then you can also dye it and it makes it look fuller, but it just keeps you from losing too much more, but I don't think it is worth it

Is it just me or many more Americans have hair loss than foreigners? Is there something in the water?
