I have had surgery for a partial tear and impingment in my right shoulder . The surgery was very painful . They shaved the partial tear in my supraspinatus and ground away at my clavical for the impingment . The doc. put me in sling and 3 weeks started therapy. During therapy I had alot of pain and it felt like my shoulder was coming apart . This I reported to my doctor . He told me that there was nothing in therapy that would damage my shoulder despite the pain . After about 8 wks of therapy I still had alot of pain in rt. shoulder . He decided that I was not telling the truth and released me to work with no limits I decided to get 2nd opinion and after 8 weeks this doctor took 1 regular x ray and said every thing was ok and released me with no restictions said he couldnt do any thing for me. I then had strenghtening therapy and tried to go back to work . The company required a capacity test and I failed because of strength and pain and suggested seeing another doctor . My therapist suggested one and I went. He had me get an M.R.I. Finally the mri shows a full thickness tear in my supraspinatus and a full thickness tear in infraspinatus with fluid in the joints and impingment . The reason I tell you this a regular x ray doesnt show muscle tears and find a doctor that believes you. Now I have to start all over again .
