I think mail order brides are more common than most people realize. There's a lot of things that society doesn't talk about but which happen with some frequency. Mail order brides, arranged marriages, etc., are some of them.

Walk into a Fry's Electronics store or geek type store and most of the males in there on a Friday or Saturday night would give up their broadband connections for a Russian or Asian mail order bride.
