I just watched a program on Discovery Health channel (I think) and they were talking about these guys finding Russian brides through catalogs. Come on, you don't get down and propose after a few letters and a few days in Kiev...er, do you?

 

I met someone who did this. I don't know him except for the couple of hours I was around him. He's not an attractive (physically) person, but this particular person was very excited about his wife coming over and you could tell he was going to treat her well and take good care of her. I'm sure that's not the majority of these.

 

There is a NASA tech inspector in the N. Cal Chapter, better known as the "Tech Nazi" who quit because he got himself a Russian mail order bride. She showed up a few times at the track before he quit.

I think mail order brides are more common than most people realize. There's a lot of things that society doesn't talk about but which happen with some frequency. Mail order brides, arranged marriages, etc., are some of them.

 

I have a good friend who did this. Her name is Tatyanna and she is hot, a tall leggy blond. Basically, they wrote a few letters back and forth, he went over and visited for a week, then she came over here and visited for two weeks. They were married at the end of the second week

in Russia, a young woman can look forward to being poor, marrying an abusive angry drunk, and seeing nothing

by marrying a fat American with bad social skills, she can come to THE BEST DAMN COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, not work, be well off, and opress her shy husband all day long. she will be bought a car, and she can fulfill her womanly need of bearing children in a SAFE and STABLE environment.
