S vs Minivan on GoPro
You don't know that. You met her? You read the police reports? You know for a fact she is purposefully lying? I didn't see any evidence of that in the video. All we actually "know" is what we saw in the video.
We have no idea what she did or didn't see. It's a known fact that people make mistakes, don't even realize it, and it doesn't make them worthy of being called an expletive here.

People make mistakes. It's entirely possible that the driver of the mini-van truly believed the light to be green on her side. There were no other cars on her side of the road stopped and she could have honestly just made a mistake and had it in her head that the light was green. This happens and it doesn't necessarily mean she's knowingly lying or trying to screw anyone.
This is why I run dashcams in all my vehicles. I even have a two channel model (front and rear facing) in my daily since that is the one statistically most likely to be involved in an incident. It catches crazy stuff that other drivers do and I openly admit it sometimes captures my own mistakes too. I think it makes me a better driver because I can use it to review events from which I can learn and because I know it will also record when I'm driving like an a$$.

I'm ashamed to admit that I saw this video a couple days ago and didn't realize it was an S2k....
That being said, the guy was technically in the right, but he seriously goosed a yellow light. he had plenty of time to stop and should have. That's what yellow lights mean anyway.
Van lady still blew that red and I'm glad the guy had the cam for proof to protect himself.

She full on blew a red light that wasn't going to be green for at least another 4 seconds minimum. The video is available in 1080p if you want to see details.

As an aside, for those considering dashcams, it's best to mount them on the windshield so traffic signals are never obscured from view by parts of the car.
