S2000 & Ty or.... Mitsu EVO VI?
There is actually a licensed & registered EVO VI for sale
for $45k which is about what my two cars are worth.
It would be really cool if i could get one for $35k and
keep the S2000.?
If i could just figure out how the guy got it registered?
I am probably not going to sell my s2000 and ty for this car
but it makes me thing some....

getting busted for violation of a S or D permit would be a drag. would result in a civil penalty (i.e. fine) and void the authorization and require exportation of the vehicle. don't think i'd take the risk myself, but if you check the list of "approved" cars you'll see some that i'm *sure* someone out there is driving more than 2500 miles per year...

Malachi (is that from children of the corn???)
i really wish i could get one of those EVO's, but...
like you said, with my luck i would end up with a car
that must be deported, out $45k and still have no
transportation....
Guess for now I will stick with what I have. I did talk
to the owner of the EVO VI, and he says he bought it from
a guy who imported it for "racing". Then he had it titled
in Indiana (the state) as a "Kit car", after applying for
a kit car vin number.
I was more interested in the story than the car. I could
get Giampiero to sell me the car for $35kish (he had 2 of them about a year ago).
boooooooo I hate the NTSB or whatever it is.

That list is awesome! I LOVE the fact that the Peugeot 205 Turbo is on it! Very cool, indeed. Shows that people aren't just going for the exotics.
Don't sweat over the EVO VI. We now get the WRX, and in future you can be almost certain that Mitsubishi will bring some version of it's EVO VII over to compete.

In the recent Road and Track, someone from Mitsubishi said that the Evo VI isn't here because they can't make it follow US crash regulations, and that they saw no reason to change the design of the engine...would it still be legal to have one over here?
