safe to leave PS2 on all day?
Im real lazy and I was wondering if it would be safe to leave the PS2 on all day? I guess I could turn it off at night and back on whenever I played again but it would be easier to just let her run 24/7.
That's what i've been doing since last november. Just hold down the reset button (green LED) for 2 sec. until it turns red. That will put the PS2 into standby mode. This is supposed to be safer than turning your PS2 off and on.

Thats what I meant by turning it on and off, I dont actuialy flick the switch in the back. When im watching TV or whatever I want to play gt3 for a few minuites its a pain in the ass to get up and turn it on and wait for it (I have little paitents with slow electronic devices, even the white blinking square REALLY pisses me off) so Itd be easier to just leave it on 24/7 if it wouldnt overheat and die.
>>Just buy a new one when it burns up ... Oh well, it's gonna be awhile before that happens but. Just play the god damn thing, it's only a machine.
Basically what I was asking is if it would burn up significantly quicker if I left it on with GT3 spinnin all day/night long. Leaving it on is easier than turning it on and off each day, but turning it on and off each day is easier than buying a new one every few months. I know its only a machine, and for $300 im not expecting top quality, but I dont want to kill it here.
