My last three raises were 8%, 7.5%, and 14%. Depending on how much you make now and what your responsibilities are, 8%-10% seems reasonable.

There are a few influential factors you've ommitted. How long with the company, how long out of education, are you big earner for the company????? Keep in mind that the minimum standard raise each year should be aligned with inflation but if you've had to increase other expenses (living or otherwise) as a direct result of your work then you should factor those in as well.

I need a new job. My company has some ridiculous limit of 3.5% as a maximum raise no matter how well your review is. No way to get rich in the medical field unless you're a doctor. They keep it all for themselves.

Well, when I meant 10% that was in reference to a promotion (i.e Level I to Level II engineer).

Annual pay increase for cost of living at my company is around 2.5-5% depending on the review rating.

hmm lets see...

ive been w/the company for about 3 years, ive been out of school for maybe 4 years;
im not sure how a big a earner i am; but in terms of experience and tech skill, im the next one down from my manager...

i think my last raise was about 18%, but that was for 2 reviews worth of raises...
this will be my 3rd review...

after weighing out all these % suggestions...
im gonna go with 10%, cuz if they counter w/ a lower # ill still be pretty content with 7-8%
