Another TV that hasn't been mentioned is the Sharp Aquos. Have you looked into those?

I really do like the Sony Bravia LCD, but wow. $$$$..

Pioneer Elite is really nice too... but again... $$$

I might end up spending the extra couple hundred and getting the 56" LED.

Do it. I have a Samsung 50" DLP that I bought back in May 2003. The bulb hasn't blown yet, but if I were buying a set right now, I'd get the 56" DLP with LED engine.

It's hard to believe I paid $2850 for my set, and that was at a substantial discount over the list price of approx $3800 at Best Buy back then.

It's been worth it, though. I haven't gone to a movie theater in years.

Thanks for the tip...I think that I am going to jump on it. I might wait a couple of weeks to see if Buy.com has any sales on it near Black Friday. I will be closing escrow by the end of the month, so I won't need it until then anyways.

Thanks again guys!

Have you gone to a best buy to look at this, or a similar set? If not, get your butt over there ASAP. I would also strongly suggest you check out the biggest competition, the Sony 50, 55, 60KDS-A3000 series sets.. or even the older A2020 series.

I might head over to Best Buy tonight to check it out.
