San Francisco VS Chicago
Actually, the real-life Steve Urkel (Jaleel White) doesn't run around Chicago...he runs around West LA in his NSX...
I spent my childhood in the Midwest and love Chicago. It's a great city and I actually do enjoy visiting there very much.
I've lived in the Bay Area since 1988 - except for a few years of college in So Cal - and have never really "gotten into" SF. It's a pretty city with good night life, but I personally just don't really feel it...
In my book, Chicago and SF are similar cities. I'd give SF the slight nod just 'cause of the better night life, but that's about it. (Edit: And how could I forget, SF has better bud
so I guess that's 2 points in favor of SF)

Chicago all the way. San Fran has nicer roads and all...way more compatible S2000 driving scenario...
But Chicago's very liveable....great food, entertainment, nice lake....great neighborhoods.
Keep your gay marriages and overpriced homes....

I'm going to have to vote Chicago on this one. I live in the 'burbs and have my whole life, but I get out to SF once to twice a year for vacation and business. Sf is a great place to visit but I don't think I could live there. Too many damn tourists. And for you people that bitch about Chicago weather in the winter... get some balls!! A little cold weather does the body good. Not to mention, you learn to appreciate the nicer days more when you have the crappy ones. And there is nothing in California that compares to driving I-90 or 290 around 3:00 am on a Friday night with the top down weaving in and out of traffic at 120mph. As for food, history, culture, and nightlife... SF can't even compete. My vote goes to Chicago!
ps - great post jankemi. That nails Chicago right on the head.
