I agree. And I am also glad that I am not the only one who though of that possibility. My friends like to make fun of me for seeing conspiracy everywhere but I think that this is a real possibility here.

My take on it is that it's a bio-weapon deployed by the US though and not by the Chinese. The Asian block is the only viable US competitor on the international scene right now. Europe is not ready to compete even though they are the old dogs and have nuclear power under their belts. True power these days comes from a country's economic standing.

So all of a sudden we see a viral epidemic of unknown origin (now how often does that happen in the history of modern man). We don't know how it started and don't know how it spreads nor how to cure/prevent it? With all the research and technology available to our medical experts? That sounds beyond fishy, I'm sorry. AND there are NO DEATHS reported in the US, not one. In every other country affected by SARS, there are at least on or two people dead, but not on the entire spread of the US... come on....

Whoah there...it's one thing to discuss the likelihood that SARS is a bio-weapon, and another to start pointing fingers. People tend to get pissed off then...hence the no politics rule. So be careful where you take this thread.

You know what, upon further reflection I think any discussion of SARS as a bio-weapon will inevitably lead to theories on who deployed it, so I'm gonna lock this one down now. Sorry.
