Hmm, sounds like some commercial ISP issues in relation here ... Though it doesn't affect me in anyway possible.

Jeff,

That's great, but wait till more users start using it. I used to work for direcpc's sister company (DIRECTV). The biggest problem we see about the satellite internet service is the bandwidth available. Basically, the more successful you are at selling the service, the slower it will become.

By the way, did you get the direcduo system???

Pegasus, DirectDuo uses both DirectPC and DirectTV.

That's cool. So I assume that you signed up for DIRECTV too.

I was actually a very early beta tester of the Direcpc system. You should've seen it when it first started. Boy, was it a POS. I'm glad they worked out all the bugs and finally got the two-way stuff working. When I first used it, you needed a dial-up for the return path, butthe downlaods came off the satellite.

Well, actually I've been with Direct TV since the beginning. Your right, you had to have a modem and the upload depended upon speed of analog lines. SUCKS! I just boot up the computer go to the Icon and bam you always there. It's a really good system. Extremely Fast. The fastest upload has been over 750kbps. Fastest download has been almost 2 megs a second.
