Default Saw mars on my telescope

I was much bigger than I expected. I have a pretty big scope, Meade LX200GPS 12" schmt/cassi, so the detail was really great. Sorry I don't have pics. I had to use my T-mount for my D60 digital. The pictures look overexposed because it much harder to pear through a SLR than a computer. I gave them to my wife's sister and she will play with it then I'll show you my pics tomorrow. I usually use a CCD cam I made using a Quickcam pro 4000 and using a stacker program. I get really good images, but I ended up using my lap top and it took fricken 2 hours to install my web cam. Man I still can't get over how nice and clear it looks tonight. I can see a ice cap and a moon. There are dark and light red areas of the planet. Sorry for no images but I will get them up soon.

I am looking to get a scope. What would you recommend and what would be the price range for it?

Yes it has two, really they are more like two large astroids named Deimos and Phobos.

Well I'll be damned, you're right. Guess I've just never heard them referred to as moons before. Ya learn something new every day! Serves me right for relying on memory instead of taking 30 seconds to research it .

There are so many, and I just got back into astronomy after 15 years of not having a telescope.
