Saw a new Chevy Avalanche for the first time last week...

ugly or not I love the thing... would allow me to carry the family, tow the boat, riding lawnmower etc... all with one vehicle. It has much better room for 3 in the back seat than any of the other 4 door vehicles... yet it still has real room for a load in the back when needed. Currently I will have to put a hitch on the Odyssey to pull the boat and carry more than 3 people. The odyssey is rated to 3500#'s but it won't do it happily.

How about an F250 or F350 Crewcab? I think those would meet your specs and not look like crap. Probably tow and haul even more than the Avalanche.

I actually kind of like it.....it brings back the "utility" in Sports Utility Vehicle. For those who think it's ugly, you won't have to worry about the next door neighbors trying to keep up with the jones's on this one.

I like the truck that is made to be used the way it was intended....

I can't imagine myself ever buying a truck, but I think this one looks cool. It's sort of a "Robocop" look.

I think it's cool in a big chunky kind of way. Like an automotive Sam Kinneson.

A good friend at work just bought one. It is pretty practical. Kind of a Suburban/Truck combo. I would buy one.
