1967 (the year I graduated) - teacher picks Bob to select players on the baseball team. Bob chooses 8 guys, good athletes. The rest of the guys watch, or go play another game.
2007 - teacher says all students play, because no one can be a loser and not get picked. Result, nobody has any fun, uses their skills, or plays more than 30 seconds.
