yeah. i just wasnt watching in the lane to the side of me since all the traffic stopped all of a sudden whlie i was going normal speed in my lane lookin ahead and to the left (i was going to turn left about 75 yards ahead). Basically didnt even know i passed the school bus until i was up to the bus driver directly to the right of me, which by then was too late to stop so i just kept going.

Ah, i guess I'll just plead the 5th and they dont have proof. I doubt she had a camera to take my pic so im not too worried unless its on the background of one of those school bus cams, but im pretty sure those are only aimed inside the bus so im not worried.

here in Pennsylvania you lose your license for 6 months even if it was by accident!!!!!!!! A friend of ours lost hers just by doing what you did...

You should probably not admit much unless you want to be walking......or check what the penalty is before you admit.

 

well its a double fine because its considered a "school zone" violation which doubles the fine in WA. Also, you cannot get a reduced sentence on a school zone infraction in this state.
So instead of a normal running a stop sign ticket for $150 it'd be $300+ with no chance of them lowering the fine or giving community service etc. Also its also double points on your record.

Also, im still on probation until april for a HOV lane violation I got in my old car where I did a 6 month deferall agreement for the ticket. Thats a whole another story tho how the HOV thing happened which was kinda bullshit on the cop's part to.

I'm just a college senior (at least for this week then i graduate ) who gets good grades, works hard, and is normally courteous, dropping his mom off at the doctor and getting groceries for my parents whenever they need anything etc...

But when it comes to court and legal stuff i hate that I get profiled because of every dumbass frat kid who has no respect for anything. I work hard for what I have and need to protect my assets and my record by any means necessary, so i dont care if I need to fudge a story in traffic court. Life's a bitch and you gotta deal with crap to come out on top whenever you can. No one gets hurt by me having to change a story around in court, so I dont think you should be so condescending.

 

Hey man I feel ya. However I have never seen a 45 mph school zone.. I understand though that if the milage is posted at 40+ and if there are school signs you cut it to 20-25 during school hours. Their is bullet number one for the offense. So assuming you were traveling at a legal speed (25) you should have had no problem stopping for the large yellow bus even if the truck was all up its ass. This would be bullet number two. Bullet three comes from the bus driver, if she can say you had a (Insert color here) car, maybe even the car type and all seven numbers on the plate then you have a witness. '

Really all the indicators did not point a reason to stop. Oncoming traffic not stopping, big truck blocking, it could of been a car pulling to a driveway that the truck stopped for. Should you been a bit more careful for your sake? Sure, however a 45 is a 45, you were going it, and it did not allow for a fast stop with the car who was ridding you... right?
