Default Scientific calculator help

Ok so I am not that good with a calculator. Well I keep plugging everything in as well as I can and it gives me the wrong answer.

I keep putting this:

1.0x10^-7/4.0x10^-13

and it keeps giving me

2.5x10^-28

Well it should be giving me 2.5x10-2 and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I know I could just type it in normally but I have finals tomorrow and it would be a nightmare.

use ( ) around things you want to multiply/divide whatever independently from the rest of the equation.

Thank you. I did use them but I had a small mistake. I could not figure out what I did wrong for the life of me.

I was putting (1.0 x (10^-14)) / (4.0 x (10^-13)) and I put extra ()'s.
