I didn't blink once while watching that...just stared,Anyway my eye doctor told me last feb. to wait a year and If my eyes don't change much she said It'd be fine to do It....my doctor won't recommend It till your 21 ,so I'll probably setup an appointment sometime within the next few months.

I had it done about two years ago. Best money I ever spent. I remember that blade/saw thing, it freaked me out. I remember my whole body stiffening up when that thing started, I was afraid to move my head but the rest of my tensed up so bad I had sore muscles for days. It's like this little buzzsaw going into your eye. The rest was pretty easy, didn't hurt at all until I got outside into the sunlight. Then it burned like a mother******! My eyes teared profusely the whole drive home. I fell asleep as soon as I got home, and woke up about six hours later with good enough vision I could watch television and get online.

Prior to the lasik I was about 20/180, now I'm just below 20/20, probably 20/25 at worst.

The blade wouldn't have bothered me so much if it hadn't sounded like an electric can opener!

I took the 1 valium, but it didn't really seem to do much since it was only about an hour after i took it that they did the surgery. I did fall asleep pretty easily though when i came home....

Freq & Tombrew - what was your prescriptions before and now? I was -8.0 diopeters (hairy palms, etc...) and now 3 weeks later i am probably 20/30 in the morning but 20/50 or worse by late evening.... is that normal?
I'm not sure what all those number mean but before hand my contacts were a -5.0 and a -5.5. <--- Ray Charles blind.

Now I'm 20/20 but my right eye is dry ALOT of the time. Especially during the Winter when the heat is on in the house.

Dry eyes SUCK! But so do almost-blind eyes. My eyes are dry most of the times, since the LASIK.
