Default Sears Torque Wrench Sale

Thanks very much to Chuhsi for the post on this deal. I am sure that a lot of us took advantage of the sale.

However, I just received an e-mail from Sears saying that they are canceling my order. Is anyone else getting this runaround? FYI, both the 1/2" and the 3/8" are shown as "in stock" but now at $74.99!!!

"Unfortunately, due to either the demand for the item(s) that you ordered or the method of your payment; we were unable process your order. Consequently, we will be canceling your order for the item(s) listed below and refunding your purchase."

Sorry dude. That sucks. The sale was only a Black Friday thing, so it's definitely over.

I picked mine up from the store Friday afternoon.

Slightly off topic, but I have had my Sears torque wrench for about 6 months and its already off on calibration. Is this something there 1 year warranty (its not lifetime on torque wrenches) will cover? Couldn't get a solid answer from sears on the phone. If so, does it require a receipt?

I took back a 40 year old bent torque wrench last month and they replaced it with a new one. They used to warrantee them.

LoL, will Sears re-calibrate a torque wrench? Even if its out of warranty, its a nice digital one so I'd like to not waste it. Any idea what they charge to calibrate?

My friends dad carried a Craftsman tape measure on his belt every day of his life for about 20 years. One day the tape broke so he took it back to Sears.
They handed him a brand new tape measure in exchange for the old broken one and he was really pissed.
He wanted the old one fixed.
