I called Sears today. The first two tries ended in the call disconnecting on their end. On the third try I got an agent who genuinely tried to help me. She attempted to re-order both wrenches with a price override. The orders were kicked back for "out of stock" even though Sears.com listed them as "in stock." She promised that I would receive an e-mail when they are in stock permitting me to order at the sale price.
I tried my local retail store and could not get anyone in the tool department to even pick up the phone. In fact, the call automatically disconnects after the eighth ring.
I will give them a week and then try again.
Thanks for the feedback.

Did you happen to see the price for calibration? =)
I know Discount Tire Co./America's Tire has a calibration tool mounted in their shops, provided you know how to make the adjustment on yours.......never hurts to ask(and possibly tip a tech)
Hmm, I never worried too much about calibration on my cheap Husky-brand models as long as I store them "relaxed" (wound down to minimum torque setting).
If I was going to spend $200+ today I'd buy one of the recent-design electronic torque wrenches. Their force sensor technology is similar to digital tire pressure gauges -- almost immune to drop damage, low drift, and more accurate for the price.

Well, with this kind of customer service it's no wonder they're sucking eggs. Click below.
