I need to do Research and report on the security mechanisms
used in the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. I know there are quite a few IT experts on here, so I would appreciate it if you guys could point on some good sites to get information from.

Not sure how technical you're looking to get. There's a draft version of the SSL 3 specification from 1996 on the Netscape site.

 

im still looking for some websites that contain information about the SSL protocols, overview of ssl...etc.

i searched online, but the sites i am finding are not that good.
