You can't fully uninstall IE. All those and other FAQs do is tell you how to hide the user interfaces to it or revert to an earlier version.
I figured that much because I tried almost every way, but I felt compelled to ask. I guess I will reinstall Windows at a later time. Thanks!

What about the EzulaPopWin? Any ideas? Must be a trojan or something.

^^ EzulaPopWin is some sort of spyware/malware. I also had EzulaPopWin - along with a bunch of other malware - on one of my computers, and a program called PestPatrol successfully and permanently removed all of them.

But, in another recent thread on S2Ki, wantone reported that PestPatrol was not able to remove malware from his system. So your mileage may vary, and PestPatrol doesn't appear to be a surefire fix.

The best long term solution would be to reformat the hard drive, reinstall Windows, use a browser other than IE, and turn browser security up high.

But if your only encounter with EzulaPopWin is an occasion message, then I'd personally just dismiss it as a minor nuisance rather than go through all the trouble. If it hasn't yet invited all of its friends to party on your computer, then you're most likely okay.

Also, if EzulaPopWin is the only malware on your system, you might be able to get rid of it like so:

First...

**
Go to Start | Run... and enter "msconfig"

**
On the dialog that comes up, go to the General tab, and select "Selective Startup"

**
Go to the Services and Startup tabs and uncheck any references to EzulaPopWin

**
Hit OK to save your changes

Then...

**
Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up the Task Manager

**
Go to the Processes tab and look through the list of processes for EzulaPopWin, or some other permutation of its name

**
If you see the EzulaPopWin process, right-click on it and select "End Process"

This may or may not work. Most malware is smart enough to survive this, and it most definitely won't work if you have other malware running around, but in the event you got lucky and only have something innocuous, it could work. It's definitely worth a shot.

Good luck.
