I bet this comes directly from Seinfeld's genius ideas.
It comes from the ad firm that did the BK King commercials (hit) and the Miller Lite man counsel ads with Burt Reynolds (flop).

I think most of you guys dont understand what a "good" commercial is. This commercial is excellent, and this thread is proof. I bet you guys don't remember half the commercials from the last Superbowl, but I can guarantee you'll remember this one.
I guess this means since the Democrats cannot stop talking about Bush in their campaign ads that makes him the greatest President of our time.

Just because people talk about it does not make it a good comercial. Nor does it make it memorable.

Everyone used to talk about the "Consumer made" comercials for the Superbowl last year. Do you remember any of them? Do you remember if they boosted sales at all?

I remember the girl tripping Doritos commercial - that was memorable.

Well I meant this is a car board, and we're pretty much all enthusiast, so no ad campaign is gonna help sell cars to people like us. But advertising probably reaches us on some other area of our lives that we don't consider ourselves experts in(shoes, clothes food, etc.). But I'm sure there was a few people out there who thanks to this commercial and Nissan in their heads, probably added Nissan to their list of cars to try out on when making their next purchase. I'm not a beer drinker, but I can tell you that Budweiser has the best commercials compared to any other beer company. Commercials aren't meant for everyone, they are meant for that consumer who's on the fence, and to keep that brand fresh in our minds.

We all drive Honda's here, but how many of us remember a Honda commercial from 10 years ago.
But it didn't help Nissan sell cars, that is why they stopped showing those commercials. I don't think you read my original post correctly. I didn't say anything about it not helping sell cars to just enthusiast.
