it doesnt take a pro to know that jumping into shallow water is a bad idea. it doesnt take a pro to say no to peer pressure. it doesnt take a pro to know that "hey, if i am jumping into shallow water, maybe i should thurst my arms down after hitting the water so i dont go as deep."
I am sorry, but most of the hobbies I am involved in are things in which people get hurt relatively frequently. I have been around these things long enough to know that maturity/state of mind are a lot more important than skill level.
So yea, your girl got owned.

She's a girl. She saw a lot of guys and girls doing it and they were all fine so she decided to try it. Let me apologize for her again for not being pro at something she's never done before.
I hope you face plant into a rock and die. That would be real ownage.

The water wasn't too shallow. She just didn't know how to do it properly being her first time to ever do anything like that, and ended up crashing into the bottom.

We used to jump off the 60' cliff up on our lake, north of Toronto.
Considering that the lake was likely only about 50' or so, I always wore my neoprene life jacket so I was immediately buoyant when I hit the water. It worked well but even with it I went down about 20' or so.
Sucks that your beyotch broke her foot. Unless its the same crazy one who was leaving you the voicemails on your phone. In that case, hahahahaha.
