Default Selling on Ebay

What's the best time and day some of you have noticed to be the most effective: Weekday, weekend, noon, afternoon, night? I'm looking for the best time for when there's the most people bidding.

Some thoughts:
1. Weekend - people are probably out and about
2. Weekday - people at work might be able to bid, if the company allows this time of down time.
3. Afternoon - Is this when people are least productive and wander off to surfing the web?

I experimented with different times and days, and came up with inconclusive result.

But I kinda rely on Sundays' evenings.

Sunday evenings, 7-9 pm eastern are prime. People are home across the US typically.

Agreed with whats said above.

I'm not sure if ebay follows the same trend as other online stores or not, but I do know that Monday mornings and most weekdays around lunch time are normally pretty active. This is when people get to work or take a break at work. Remember, not everyone has internet at home (shocking, I know).

any evening time before 9pm should net good results but sundays like stated above is typically the best day.

as far as bidding is concerned, the description, title, starting price, type of auction, premium listing style, and shipping/payment acceptance will affect the amount of bids you get more than the times you start and end the bidding.

The item itself also plays a factor.

Dont forget your feedback rating. I cant tell you how many times I have skipped an item simply becasue the seller had neutral or neg feedback in the past 6 months. If their rating is not 95% or above, I usually skip them completely. And it the cases of less than perfect rating I always analize the feedback and see where it went bad.

A power seller with 97% feedback rating and 55,000 transaction will probably be OK Vs. 98% with 20 transactions (they dont have their act together yet).

Thanks! I'll definitely try this Sunday evening. My seller's rating is pretty good, but I've always posted whenever I had free time. I wanted to try some smart selling this time because I have a lot to sell.

I have to make myself post stuff on ebay, so I can't do Sunday nights specifically. I just try to aim for evenings to nights. If it's something electronic, I'll post 11-12PM CST, as I'm guessing people buying electronics are probably awake later. Other stuff ~8PM.
