I assume it works just like those license plate hiding covers for light cameras. some kind of polarization occurs but instead of blocking the picture, it creates a new one at different angles (now up to 3) so player/viewer 1 gets channel 1, 2 gets 2 and 3 gets 3. true for gaming, you need multiple consoles, but for families, your kids can watch barney with headphones so you wont hear the annoying music, and you can watch the TV over the speakers while sitting a few feet away. My idea is for one screen to be TV while the other is a computer for web surfing. that way i can surf s2ki while the wife watches law and order.

regarding market segments, i think this is like tivo, no initial demand, but once you use it and see that you can enjoy being together and watching/doing what you want, it will be something that you cant live without.

plus with tivo, you could essentially watch one program and stream another to the other input. the possibilities are endless.

hmm... i just googled it. pretty interesting, but if it kind of forces the main watcher of the TV to be DIRECTLY in front of it all the time which would be annoying cuz i walk around the room and stuff as i watch TV or watch from my computer desk off to the side sometimes.

That's a good point.

I didn't think about that.

yeah after reading further it doesnt seem to make much sense...think about it you cant watch two tv programs at the same time unless you can plug in headphones...and if you wanna use the computer you cant watch tv....or vise versa...doesnt make any sense to me
