Default sheets, comforters, etc.

I'm always a bit confused with this whole sheet/comforter/blanket deal. In hotels, I see that you sleep BENEATH the sheet (and above the fitted sheet).

Does anyone actually sleep under the sheet and have a comforter/blanket on top of the sheet? or do you forgo the sheet altogether and just use the comforter/blanket?

Sheets are good if you sleep naked.

In hotels I most definitely sleep under the sheet since that's changed every day whereas lots of hotels don't change the blanket/comforter every day.

At home it depends. Lately I haven't used the sheet, but I recently bought a new flannel sheet set, so I may reconsider...also it's getting damn cold!

Over the fitted sheet.

Under the flat sheet and a blanket. I should look for another one of my nice blankets so I can keep a window open through the 0 degree nights.

I only use the flat sheet if I'm in a hotel. Otherwise it's just the comforter on top.

Always use the sheets regardless of where you are. Sheets are the "disposable" portion of your bedding. They collect the dead skin, hair and oils from your body as you sleep.

It took me a long time to break my step-children of their bad habit of just using comforters.

If you use comforter without sheets you will breakdown the comforter from washing it so often, or if you don't wash it......you will notice that the bedroom will stink after only a short period of usage.

The same rule applies when sleeping on a couch. You should always use a sheet.

at home i never sleep under the sheet... too ****ing hot for me. My wife always claims I am going to ruin the comforter.....

in a motel i don't even like to touch the comforter to roll it down. all the jitt spots and skid marks all over that thing! Always under the sheet and if cold use that yucky fuzzy blanket.... more jitt spots on that thing.

For me,

On top of the fitted sheet, Under the..

Bed Sheet,
Second Bed Sheet
Fleece Bed Sheet
Duvet
Comforter

I like having a lot of weight on me while I sleep, and when alone, I bank pillows up all around me, why I have a king size bed I don't know?? but I like the cocoon feeling. I think a coffin would be the perfect bed for me
