I hear ya man. We're about to have to put down our 16 year old Cocker. The dogs really do become a part of the family. I wish you the best of luck on not having to put her down. Ours has made come back after come back and I hope yours can too. Good luck.

Dude I totally feel for you, seriously. I have had my cat for just 5 years, and a couple of weeks ago she began vomiting blood non stop.....she had to stay at the vets with IV and other meds......she is better now, but we still don't know what was wrong with her.

Those few days we all thought she was a gonner.I was sick, couldn't stop thinking about my buddy (she follows me everywhere), but now she acts just like usual, eats and drinks, with no vomiting.

Have faith, Im sure she will come through fine.

just yesterday I had to put to sleep Tiger, a cat that's been part of our family for over 16 years. it was absolutely heartwrenching.

he was a great cat too-- one of the only cats I've ever seen that actually caught flies in mid-air by leaping up and catching it between it's two front paws!! those days were long gone though, as he started to get very thin and weak several months ago, and then a few days ago had some internal bleeding.

poor guy, I love him very much and buried him next to the lemon tree in my parent's back yard.

I feel deeply guilty and I hope he can forgive me.

<-- in tears
