Shoe sole insert?
So the gf just ordered me the Newbalance 993s for Vday...but I tried them on today and they don't have my desired amount of arch support. Can someone recommend a top-notch insert please?

Superfeet for sure. They're available at REI (which is where I bought them) or online.
My doctor rec'd them for me, they're super comfortable, give good arch support (I have flat feet)
Get the green color (most arch support). You won't look back.

...funny thing about this is,..i am on my 3rd set of these as i run for my job,....and i went to the orthopedic surgeon and he told me not to use insoles at all because they put unnatural/unneeded support in places you dont need it.......
if you notice, this whole barefoot running trend that has taken off, they say less injuries because our feet are not being put in unnatural situations

The feet are supposed to be flat. Arches actually damage your back, as well as a few other things. In short; running shoes are bad for you. If you're running to stay healthy/get healthier, don't damage yourself along the way.

OK, I'll wear the shoes until properly broken in. If fatigue is apparent, I'll look for some inserts then.
Anyone else tried these shoes? I heard that New Balance has a contract with all military branches and this is the shoe they use for BT...which I find pretty cool. Plus, I like the fact they are made in the US.

the 992/993 are the only doctor recommended shoe for diabetic people i read..... i dont know how that helps you but its interesting lol
i find that the 992/993 last WAY longer as far as wear and tear go on the soles,.....i have used pretty much everything under the sun and they have the hardest exterior sole so it doesnt wear as fast i guess, i overpronate so my shoes always end up looking like my front tires do with too much toe out on the front(wore really bad on the insides)
