Congrats!

Just looking at this line in your post and hoping it translates to...

You get the FIRST car they get and you get it at MSRP

and not

You get the FIRST car they SELL at MSRP.

You say that they are a good dealer, so I'd venture its the first statement, but ya never know.

our Acura dealer (where I bought the car) has done us good on our CL and on my S2K (bought used from them).

I paid more than I thought I should have, but after going to a few Honda dealers and being told that they wouldnt budge from the 10k over sticker markup, I guess I did ok. One dealer actually REFUSED 3k over sticker in "cash" because he knew the car would sell for more than that.

I hope I get some decent resale out here in the expensive NW.

I know C5 convertibles that are used sell in the high 40s (not much less than they cost new!).

The S2000's rarity should command a decent price

of course, we want pics of that NSX...

Well I went by the Acura dealer today at lunch to discuss the '03 NSX. Basically here is the scoop from them:

- They know nothing about the car other than it will exist. Acura has said nothing.
- They don't have a price and they basically laughed out loud when I said $55K. He said no chance, $75-$100 is more likely.
- They have had several people wanting to put down deposits but they have not taken any. They have no list.
- They expect the '03 cars will be delivered starting Feb-Mar '03 based on what happens now.
- Right now, each NSX is built to order. They send 1 car at a time. It arrives on it's own truck. Each is hand built.
- They don't expect any of this the change for '03.

Keep in mind this is what I got from one dealer. They said that there is no official information. What we hear from the dealers is rarely good information. It is probible they are wrong, there have been few occations where I have not educated a dealer about their own cars! They had no idea about steel skin/steel body, had never seen a picture. Beciaclly the word is that you can choose to believe whatever rumour you like, it's all just speculation.
