i stand corrected...

[+1996
THE FRIENDS CAST
The six Friends are as inseparable at the negotiating table as they are at Central Perk. Their team approach after season 2 nets them each $100,000 an episode (up from $40,000), which is considered the Big Bang of TV salaries. (Seinfeld's supporting cast's $600,000- and Tim Allen's $1.25 million-an-episode paydays soon follow.) The hit-comedy sextet is even better at the full-team push in 2000, when they score $750,000 a week, and in 2002 they perfect their pitch and earn an even $1 million.]

You are comparing a freaking movie, a large budget movie, to a 30 minute cartoon sitcom...

Yeah okay...

He's pointing out that they can spend a full day recording an episode, not 30 minutes.

They'll record the same line 20 times trying out different inflections and tones to try and make it "funnier"

I understand that and I agree, but I think he and MAYBE you missed my point...all I was saying was that it is a hell of a lot more work to "do" a talk show that to talk into a microphone for...therefore I stated give me 400K for 30 minutes...

No, I didn't miss your point. Depending on what kind of person you are. Personally I would rather interview someone for 30 minutes and earn the same amount of money than doing a 30 minutes sitcom.

Your point about $400k for 30 minutes is ridiculous. Have you ever watch those behind the scene of Family Guy or Simpson? They have to take to many takes to get it right because they have to follow strict guideline. While look at Tyra, Ellen and Oprah does it look like such a hard and struggling job for them?

Let me put it this way in your term. I rather interview someone for 30 mins while the guest doing most of the talking than talking into a mic for 30 mins where it is all me for the same amount of money. You want less work right?
