That's crazy...I can't go an hour without checking my BlackBerry...LMAO!

I disagree with some of the opinions in the article...I believe the test has value. And the next one scheduled for 500 days...OMFG!

I didn't read specifically where they mentioned zero gravity conditions...but was that the case? I imagine that's a considerable strain on the body... (if so)

Actually, that's not a lot of money. That's only a little over $60k a year. Taken what they have to major in college, that's pretty low.

^^21K to work out, eat crappy food, conduct experiments, and not get into a fight for 105 days in a closed capsule with leather couches, a garden and my own room??

Throw some ladies in there with some vodka, and zero gravity and i might consider it.

While the Europeans and Russians are testing our ability to make the trip, the Canadians and Americans are working on what we can do once we get there...

Not unless they had them in a free fall for 105 days continuously. While we can readily create artificial gravity with centrifugal force, I don't think anyone has invented an antigravity machine yet. Maybe if they magnetized your whole body and set the rest of the environment to the opposite polarity..... nah, that wouldn't work either. When I figure it out I'm going to be rich I tell you ...riiiiiiiiiiiiich!

I think we test the long term effects of zero g on the space station.
