Default "SLIM" digi cameras

im looking for a slim digi cameras for the girl friend. i dont know much about cameras and i didnt think this question applied to the "what camera are you guys using" because its not for ultimate qualities in pictures. rather im looking for a small very portable camera that will fit in her pocket and has a large screen, at least 1.5 inches, but 2"+ is preferred. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. thanks.

That's the best right now. Huge screen, and the only optical/mechanical image stabilization in it's class.

Casio Exilim EX-S500 or EX-S600.

They are super thin and take pretty good pictures. I have the S500 as a travel camera.

Based on Sony's music policies I will never buy another Sony product.

I bought a Sony DSC-T1 a few years ago, it is about the size of a deck of cards. It was great to use, but I found it hard to take clear low-light pictures unless you rest it on a surface. It can be difficult to hold those small cameras steady.

I found the following site helpful for reviews on variou cameras:
