Default Smoke detector false alarms

I have the weirdest thing that happens in my house. If I have the front & back door open or if I have the windows open, and there is the slightest breeze blowing, my smoke detector(s) will go off. Also, I've recently found that if I close my bedroom door and the A/C comes on, my smoke detector goes off then, too. There is a smoke detector right outside my bedroom door, and I assume there is a draft around the door when it is closed and the A/C kicks on.

Does anybody else have this weird problem? Do you know how to fix it? I've unplugged the detector outside my bedroom door for now, but I don't want to leave it like that. Plus, I'd like to be able to open my windows again some day, too.

If it makes a difference, my smoke detector is a USI-1204 by USI Electronics.

you may want to get a can of "AIR" and spray it down real good.or you may need to just replace the head.(not expensive)about $30-$40 at home depot.

No... that's not it. That's describing a constant chirp, like when the battery is going dead. Mine only goes off (alarms... not chirps) when there is wind/moving air blowing over it.

Yeah, I'll probably end up replacing it. It's not just one head, though... it's probably all of them (since different ones go off depending on where the wind or draft is located). Looks like they're just crappy units that are sensitive to air movement, even when there is no smoke or debris in the air. I'm not surprised that the contractor would install POS smoke detectors when building the house. They cheaped-out everywhere else... why should this be any different?
