I don't understand where this dog was at for the snake to even have access to it. What would a small chihuahua be doing out in the open? Stupid on the owners part.

Stupid people like that get their dogs eaten by coyotes, wolves, etc, all over the place in America. Nothing out of the ordinary. Either way what a traumatizing visual for the kids.

You do realize that the dog was already dead before the snake started eating it don't you? They suffocate their prey before consuming it. Once it was in the mouth, the damage was already done.
Um ever since Steve Irwin died I've been so distraught I blocked all knowledge of snakes from my memory.

I wasn't thinking and assumed the snake was suffocating it in it's own mouth I know. Makes no sense.

Sounds like the only circle they saw was between the legs, below the tail and above the balls as the doggy was ingested.

Why not let the snake back out into the wild? You want to teach it a lesson on what it can consume as a meal?

I think it's more of a crushing type of thing, not choking.

Probably got sick and tired of the chihuahua's yipping and yapping. Somewhere Paris Hilton shed a crocodile tear.
