[QUOTE=skibum,May 4 2008, 11:44 PM] I am sitting on the floor wearing shorts and a t-shirt, just watching my gf play some Donkey Kong on the Wii when I feel some odd pain in my middle finger on my left hand.

Sometimes I bitch about living in a colder climate, but seeing shit like this I wouldn't trade it. If I saw a scorpion in my living room, I'd shit myself.

I hate scorpions. We used to get them in my parents' house, and they freaked me out. Never been stung by one, but I can't imagine that it would be pleasant. Definitely keep an eye on the affected area and take note if you have any other symptoms. I'm not sure how venomous those things are, but I'd definitely see a doctor if it gets worse.

I woke up this morning and my finger looks normal, just feels like pins & needles. As THEOLDMAN mentioned, the smaller scorprions mess you up a lot more and this one was rather big. It's a somewhat rather occurence in AZ, especially in the newer developed areas where there is still a lot of desert life.

I'd be running to the hospital so I don't end up like these people:

Black widow spider bite

Hobo spider bite

WTF string cheese puss

My sister in-law got stung my a centipede in her sleep when my wife and I were keeping her company. It definitely woke her up. Poison control assured us that it's not that big of a deal...but we checked the baby's crib fo' sho'!
