I've heard that happening when people get bronchitis too...

 

when i sneeze hard, i usually just get a big headache, or my snot is everywhere...hehe, j/k

 

My father has broken ribs by sneezing several times in the few years after he had open-heart surgery. There were complications and his rib cage had to stay spread apart for 2 weeks straight, making the bones very weak. Over the next 5 years or so, he'd break a few every now and then by sneezing, stepping off of his truck(18 wheeler), and, get this, in his sleep.

 

It happens. I had a little fall in Mexico while on holidays and winded myself. My ribs hurt just a little but while on the plane home I coughed. I heard a crack and it hurt like hell. The next morning I coughed and again the crack with a dagger in my side pain.

The x-rays confirmed I had broken 2 ribs.

 

he should say he was helping some lady get back her stolen purse and the guy punched him and cracked his rib but at least he got the purse back and that is what matters. he will get more brownie points that way

 

omg, that's what that is???? Wow, i coughed really hard one time and had incredible pain on one of my left ribs. I hated going to the doctor so I never went. The pain lasted for about 2 weeks. I never thought it was a broken rib.
