Off-topic Talk Where overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.

So we are having a bit of a cold snap.....

I would take that any day. It is like -15 degrees here in Chicago if you count the wind chill factor. Yes, you read that right, it's negative.
It was -31* out here in Aurora

Minus 23 this morning. Been below zero here for three days straight. We are supposed to head above zero degrees sometime around 6 this evening.

My car went haywire with codes after being in the deep freeze all night. (subie) Cleared them and everything is fine, but it wants to stay in the garage I think.

The high of 46 F that Dallas experienced yesterday isn't particularly cold depending on how you look at it. (For example, it's currently 28 and the overnight low was 23.) I, unfortunately, went for a bicycle ride yesterday. I was bundled up fairly well (could have used my ski helmet rather than the bicycle helmet though, and my neoprene ski mask) except that my wool socks just didn't cut it. By the time I got home, a couple spots on my toes were literally white and numb. Fortunately everything returned to normal after a soak in the tub.

I really don't know how people can live in such cold weather.
