I "sold" my 929 to someone a few months ago. It was a huge hassle, and I guess it still is. Anyway to make a long story short, he has the title, and the bike, and I signed the title over to him, but the title had a lean on it, and he still owed me 100 bucks, so I told him, once I get the money, I will give him the lean release, well he never paid me, and I kind of put it out of my mind, because at least I had most of the money, and I just wanted to foget the whole transaction. BUT I just got a registration renawal in the mail, so I assume he hasn't reregistered or retitled the bike. I dont want to be still "bound" to this bike, incase something happens, like its impounded, and be responsible for the costs.

I've tried to call him a few times, and no return calls. Should I make a police report? Should I try and get the 929 back?

 

Do you have a SIGNED bill of sale? If so just contact the DMV and let them know you sold the bike.
