going to school in new england area, i see a lot of college parties and meetings-
i see a lot diff. kinds of kids, from harvard to cc kids, or even art school kids, like me.

now here my venting begins,
i sat with this girl, a friend (kinda) of mine, at my school cafeteria.
we both were just eating our food, then all of sudden her phone rings.

blah, blah, blah, wans't paying attention much, then i hear at one point she says,
"urgh, i only date guys from harvard or columbia... i hate those dumb kids from those
whatever boston schools..."
blah, blah, blah, then, a little later, she goes,
"hamlet? what's hamlet? yeah, i know shakespeare, but what about him and hamlet?
what's that? huh? a person?"

what the hey?
so she wants to date smart guys with so- called "potential", yet she makes the dumbest comment ever!
so, uh...

...
...
...
"sigh..."

i really wanted to say something like,
"ack, you should date middle school kids!"

 

nah, middle school kids probably know the connection between Hamlet and Shakespeare

Don't worry about it. Some people are just ignorant.. and they usually get what's coming to them eventually.

oh- i wrote that when i was taking summer studies program in korea last year.
i was born in korea, came to the state about 8 years ago,
high school in ny/ nj area,
then now, in ri.

so, when people ask me where i'm from,
i say korea, nj, ny, or ri... depends on the situation and that person i'm talking to.
