it is a felony in VA to throw "objects" at another car. I believe you get minimum of 2yrs behind bars. kinda ridiculous but... it's the law...

"McMissile" case in VA...

I don't know other state's law on this kind of matter. but need be, check it out and if someone throws something at your car; call the police ASAP and let the law take care of him/her.

i used to carry around a bottle of pepper spray hahaha and at lights when they start yelling shit you just hold that stuff out the window and it doesn't matter if you get them in the face or not that cars interior is MESSED up. but the change in the cup holder is a good idea. but my fiance yells that i should just call the cops, but the last 2 times i've had stuff happen to me they don't show up or say " don't speed down the road with him sir" then i say " then how will you know where they are going?" then they never get caught because i can't drive stick and talk on the phone

No no, to be honest, I've never been a rager or a retaliater myself because of not wanting to anger the crazies of the world, but I did have a guy scream at me and tell me to pull over once in my old civic, so I did. I didn't have anger but clearly he did and I didn't want it coming out with him behind the wheel of a car. I guess he thought I was tiny till I got up and out of the car and it turned out I had a good 5 inches on his height, and about an extra 60 pounds of what was muscle at the time.

He was walking up at me with anger in his eyes and I stood up, turned around and started pushing up my sleeves and his eyes kind of lit up, he turned around and walked back to his car yelling "next time let me change lanes!" so I said "next time use your turn signals"

And that was that.

I agree about calling the cops. Just tell them that you suspect the driver is drunk. If the kids or whoever is dumb enough to mouth-off to the cops, they'll get whats coming.
Completely unprovoked we had red Chevy Cavalier following us driving very erratically, tailgating us, pulling up next to us and just staring, being overall weird, with a cracked up rear bumper. It was when he started pulling in front of us and hitting the brakes that I got on my cell and reported him to the police as a potential drunk driver. It was night time, almost no cars on the road, in a very rural area. We tried pulling off into a gas station and he just stopped on the shoulder up ahead waiting for us. I still don't know why.

We played it cool and eventually exited at the last second and didn't see him again. I got a wake-up call from the police the next morning thanking me, and telling me they were able to locate the vehicle. Dunno what happened because apparently a witness was not necessary.

I don't know about VA, but at least in CA they didn't do anything for me. I called the cops, told them the guy threw a soda at me and they told me to just go home and wash the car. They wouldn't send anyone out, and they started to give me attitude.

Looks like you have to be a vigilante these days to enact justice.
