Yeah. Bummer. Just like I was so disappointed when I learned that Captain Jack Sparrow is actually a role played by a guy named Johnny Depp. 
*Yes, that was sarcasm. My point being that knowing the actor who plays the Stig does absolutely nothing, for me, to diminish the enjoyment of watching his act. It really only benefits the BBC, IMO, by generating buzz and debate about who it could be, and possibly drive a bit of viewership. Besides, we've known about the potential for it being Ben for a while now.

Ask any Top Gear fan, any real Top Gear fan, and they will tell you... it doesn't matter if The Stig is Lewis Hamilton or George Clooney, we don't want to fawking know.
